The terms that apply when you use Qureo's platform, services, and content.

These terms govern your use of Qureo's platform, services, and content. By accessing or using Qureo, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Qureo platform, including the mobile application, web platform, and any related services, content, or features made available by Qureo Health Technologies ("Qureo", "we", "our", "us").

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any Qureo service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Qureo.

These Terms apply to all users of Qureo, including patients, healthcare professionals, and partner organisations. Additional terms may apply to specific services or user types and will be presented to you at the time of accessing those services.

Who can use Qureo

You may use Qureo if you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
  • Are located in a market where Qureo is available
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Are not prohibited from using Qureo under applicable law

Users under the age of 18 may access Qureo with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a minor to use Qureo, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf and accepts responsibility for their use of the platform.

Your account

To access certain features of Qureo, you will need to create an account. When creating your account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your account information up to date
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify Qureo promptly if you believe your account has been compromised
  • Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Qureo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to keep your credentials secure.

What Qureo provides

Qureo provides a digital health platform that includes:

  • AI-supported health guidance to help you understand symptoms and identify appropriate next steps
  • Access to participating licensed healthcare professionals for consultation
  • Connection to participating pharmacy, laboratory, and other health services where available
  • Tools for managing health information, records, and follow-up care
  • Health education content for general informational purposes
  • Health financing tools through Qureo Wallet where available

The availability of specific features and services varies by location. Qureo does not guarantee that any particular service will be available in your area or at any given time.

What Qureo does not provide

Qureo is a health navigation and access platform. It does not provide medical services. Specifically, Qureo does not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions
  • Prescribe medicines or recommend specific treatments
  • Provide personalised clinical advice
  • Replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional
  • Function as an emergency service

Your responsibilities

By using Qureo, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Provide accurate information when using Qureo's services
  • Seek professional medical advice before making significant health decisions
  • Not delay seeking emergency care because of information received through Qureo
  • Inform your healthcare professional of any Qureo guidance relevant to your care
  • Contact emergency services directly in the event of a medical emergency
  • Respect the rights and privacy of other users and healthcare professionals on the platform

Prohibited conduct

You must not use Qureo to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or qualifications
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent health information
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or healthcare professionals on the platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the platform
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce content from the platform without permission
  • Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
  • Use the platform for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by Qureo

Qureo reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms or engages in conduct we reasonably determine to be harmful to other users, healthcare professionals, or the platform.

Health information and AI

Qureo uses artificial intelligence to help people navigate their healthcare journey. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your specific situation
  • AI guidance is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice
  • Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of qualified healthcare professionals
  • You should not rely solely on AI-generated information for health decisions
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or received through Qureo.

Health information provided through Qureo is for general educational purposes. It does not account for your individual circumstances, medical history, or current treatments.

Third-party services

Qureo connects users to participating third-party healthcare professionals, pharmacies, laboratories, and other service providers ("Participating Providers"). These providers are independent of Qureo and operate under their own terms, licences, and professional standards.

Qureo does not employ, supervise, or control the clinical decisions of Participating Providers. Qureo is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, availability, or outcome of services provided by Participating Providers.

Your relationship with Participating Providers is governed by the terms you agree to with those providers directly. Qureo facilitates access but is not a party to your clinical care relationship.

Intellectual property

All content, design, technology, and materials on the Qureo platform, including the Qureo name, logo, software, text, images, and health education content, are owned by or licensed to Qureo Health Technologies and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Qureo content without our prior written permission. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the platform for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any health information you provide to Qureo. By providing information, you grant Qureo a licence to use it as described in our Privacy Policy.

Privacy and data

Qureo collects, uses, and protects your personal and health information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Qureo, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Qureo takes the security and confidentiality of health information seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security.

You control what health information you share with healthcare professionals on the platform. Qureo will not share your individual health information with employers, governments, or campaign partners without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Qureo Health Technologies and its directors, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for:

  • Any health outcome, medical decision, or clinical result arising from use of the platform
  • Actions or omissions of Participating Providers, including healthcare professionals and pharmacies
  • Any inaccuracy, incompleteness, or error in AI-generated health guidance
  • Interruption, suspension, or termination of the platform or any of its features
  • Unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to maintain adequate security
  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Qureo

Qureo's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Qureo in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may close your Qureo account at any time through the platform settings. Upon closing your account, your access to the platform will end and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Qureo may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms or any applicable law
  • Your use of the platform poses a risk to other users, healthcare professionals, or the platform itself
  • Qureo ceases to operate in your location
  • We are required to do so by applicable law or regulation

Where possible, we will notify you before terminating your account and give you an opportunity to retrieve your health information. In cases of serious violation, immediate termination may occur without notice.

Changes to these terms

Qureo may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or our practices. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of Qureo after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Liberia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Qureo will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Liberia, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your location.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
