Cookie policy

How Qureo uses cookies, what cookies we do not use, and how to manage your preferences.

This policy explains how Qureo uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on its web platform. We use only the cookies necessary to operate the service and improve your experience. We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertising networks.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings or the cookie preferences panel on the Qureo web platform.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the website remember things about your visit, like your preferences or whether you are signed in, so the experience works properly each time.

Similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and device identifiers serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" throughout this document.

Cookies are set either by Qureo directly (first-party cookies) or by third-party services we use to operate the platform (third-party cookies). Both types are described in this policy.

How Qureo uses cookies

Qureo uses cookies for three purposes:

  • To keep the platform working: staying signed in, remembering your preferences, and running core features
  • To understand how the platform is used, so we can spot problems, measure performance, and improve things
  • To remember your choices, like your language preference, cookie settings, and accessibility options

We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, build advertising profiles, or share your browsing behaviour with third parties for commercial purposes.

Types of cookies we use

TypePurposeCan be disabled
EssentialRequired for the platform to function. Includes authentication, session management, security tokens, and load balancing. Without these cookies, the platform cannot work.Required
PerformanceHelp us see how the platform is used: which pages people visit, where errors happen, and how long pages take to load. All of it is anonymised and aggregated, and we use it to make Qureo faster and more reliable.Optional
PreferenceRemember choices you have already made, like your language setting, cookie preferences, and display options. Without them, you may need to set your preferences again on every visit.Optional

Essential cookies are set automatically. Performance and preference cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time.

Cookies we do not use

Qureo does not use:

  • Advertising or tracking cookies that follow you across other websites
  • Cookies that build a profile of your browsing behaviour for commercial targeting
  • Third-party social media cookies
  • Cookies that share your data with advertising networks or data brokers
  • Fingerprinting or other persistent tracking technologies that bypass cookie controls

This is a commitment, not just a policy. Qureo is built around privacy by design. Tracking technologies that serve advertising or commercial profiling purposes are incompatible with the trust we are building with users around sensitive health information.

Cookies and health information

Cookies used by Qureo do not store your health information. Health information you share when using Qureo services is stored securely in our systems, not in cookies on your device.

Authentication cookies simply confirm that you are the account holder. They do not contain the content of your health records, consultation history, or symptom descriptions. If your device is shared with others, signing out of Qureo will invalidate your session cookie and prevent others from accessing your account.

We recommend signing out of Qureo on any shared or public device to protect the privacy of your account and health information.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on the Qureo web platform are set by third-party services we use to operate the platform. These include:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers, for security, load balancing, and content delivery
  • Analytics services, for anonymised performance measurement
  • Payment processors, for secure payment handling where that applies

We select third-party providers that meet our privacy and security standards and require them to handle data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Third-party providers are not permitted to use cookies set through Qureo for their own advertising or commercial purposes.

Third-party cookies are subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers. We will update this policy when we add or remove third-party services that use cookies.

Managing your cookie preferences

You can review and update your cookie preferences at any time through the Qureo cookie preferences panel.

Through your browser, you can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies from specific websites or all websites
  • Set preferences for future cookies

Blocking essential cookies will prevent the Qureo web platform from working correctly. You may not be able to sign in, and core features may not function. Blocking only performance and preference cookies will not affect your ability to use the platform.

Browser-specific instructions: For instructions on managing cookies in your specific browser, visit the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or Opera. On mobile devices, cookie settings are typically found in your browser's privacy or site settings menu.

The Qureo mobile app

The Qureo mobile application (iOS and Android) does not use browser cookies. However, the app uses similar device-level technologies to operate the service and provide a consistent experience:

  • Device identifiers, to keep your signed-in session secure
  • Local storage, to hold your preferences and support offline features where available
  • Anonymised analytics identifiers, to measure app performance and catch errors

You can manage app permissions and data through your device's privacy settings. On iOS, this is found under Settings → Privacy. On Android, this is found under Settings → Apps → Qureo → Permissions.

These technologies are governed by this policy and our Privacy Policy. They are used only to run the app and improve the experience, never for advertising or commercial tracking.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, services we add, or applicable regulations. We will notify you of material changes through the platform or by email.

The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
